Envelope Panel Drawings for a Memphis Hotel

Ayers and Associates produced the shop drawings for Ralph Jones Sheet Metal, covering Morin formed steel panels in two profiles and finishes, Longboard aluminum channel plank siding, and the hat channel framing behind both. The package included wall sections, elevation details, corner conditions, and embed locations.

Panel details were developed against each manufacturer's installation requirements rather than drawn generically, which governed weep spacing, sill flashing, and trim terminations. Where the two systems met, the horizontal joint was detailed as a butt joint to suit the siding orientation.

Corners were detailed without exposed fasteners throughout, to match how the installer builds them.
